Hale ‘Alahonua (Suite-Style Single Hall)

The University’s newest dormitory residence, Hale ‘Alahonua, has been reserved for lodging to accommodate participants attending the 2015 HCC.

The units, (Please see room layout) include bedding (pillow with pillow case, sheets, blankets and bedspread), towels (bath, hand and hand towels) and a bar of soap. Access keys to unit, along with bedroom keys, will be issued at check-in.

Hale ‘Alahonua facility also includes gathering areas featuring a recreational lounge with pool tables, study/conference rooms, a kitchen, and a laundry room.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations will carry a $35.00 administration fee and must be done in writing to [email protected]
  • No refunds after June 20, 2015

Check-In Procedure

  • Check-in at the front desk of Hale ‘Alahonua between 9:00am and 12:00 midnight
  • Photo ID required
  • Keys will be issued at the desk

Check -Out Procedure

  • Check-out at the front desk of Hale ‘Alahonua between 9:00am and 12:00 noon
  • If you are leaving in the early morning, you can make arrangements to check out the night before and will be allowed to leave the next morning
  • Keys can be placed on your desk and locked in the room upon departure 

Lost Key Charge

  • Salto (Unit) Key: $10
  • Room Key: $75

Rules & Regulations

  1. UH Hilo is a non-smoking facility. Please seek designated smoking areas outside of dorm
  2. Occupants will be charged for any damage to facilities or items missing from units
  3. UH Hilo is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles
  4. UH Hilo campus is a non-alcoholic campus. Drinking and/or any open vessels of alcohol are not allowed in public areas (i.e.: lounge, hallways, parking lots, etc.)
